Movers · Orem, Utah

Orem movers,
fluent in split-levels.

Orem's neighborhoods were built family-first — ramblers, split-levels, and two-story homes that have held the same households for decades. Moving here is less about distance and more about stairs, basements, and everything a family gathers in thirty years. That's the work we know best.

Built in the '60s and '70s. Moving in the 2020s.

Orem grew up before most of the valley did. While its neighbors are still pouring foundations, the heart of Orem has been standing for fifty years — ramblers and split-levels on tree-lined streets, two-story family homes under the long backdrop of Timpanogos, houses that have held the same families for decades. Moving here is a different discipline from moving in a brand-new suburb. The challenge isn't fresh concrete and builder schedules; it's stairs, basements, mature landscaping pressed close to the walkway, and the accumulated weight of a household that's had thirty years to settle in.

We've spent fifteen years and more than a thousand moves learning both kinds of city, and Orem's kind rewards experience. Every job starts with a real walkthrough — in person, on a live video call, or from a video you upload — because a 1974 split-level and a 2024 townhome can share a square footage and have absolutely nothing else in common. The walkthrough also scouts parking and access, since full-grown street trees are lovely for shade and less lovely for a tall truck.

The anatomy of a split-level move.

The split-level is practically Orem's signature floor plan, and it was not designed with couches in mind. Half-flights at the entry, landings with tight pivots, banisters exactly where you don't want them, and bedroom furniture that has to navigate two short staircases instead of one long one. Our crews train for stairs because stairs are where moves go wrong — and our pricing treats them honestly, planned into the quote rather than discovered on the day. For specialty pieces, per-step rates are published in advance, so you can do the arithmetic yourself.

Protection scales to the house, too. The Mid tier wraps key fragile items in-home before they travel and lays targeted floor protection along hardwood and high-traffic paths; Premium wraps everything, protects everything, and adds full disassembly, reassembly, and pro-packing. In a house with original hardwood under fifty years of carpet, that's not an upsell — it's the difference between moving out and moving out clean.

One more note specific to older houses: kitchens. Orem homes were framed when refrigerators were narrower, so a modern fridge often measures wider than the doorway it has to pass through. Our appliance crews handle that calmly — doors come off the appliance, and off the house if needed, and everything gets rehung before we leave. The new unit ends up placed, leveled, and hooked up for standard connections, with the packaging gone.

The piano in the basement.

Ask any Orem family what's downstairs and a piano is a safe guess. We've moved them since 2014 — uprights, grands, and the organs nobody remembers buying — on flat base rates by piano size, with stairs at $10 per step for grands and tall uprights and $5 for short uprights. Basement routes get quoted case-by-case, because landings and turn radii decide the equipment and crew size. Two useful extras: climate-controlled piano storage is available if the new house isn't ready, and once your piano lands, give it a couple of weeks to acclimate before scheduling a tuning.

Thirty years of belongings, one organized week.

A long tenure makes for a layered move, and a lot of our Orem work involves families downsizing after decades in the same house. The Premium tier earns its keep here: our crew pro-packs the entire home into heavy-duty, water-resistant totes that stay at the new place for seven full days — so unpacking happens at a human pace, not a panicked one. We collect the empties when you're done, or you can buy them to keep.

For everything that isn't making the trip, we'll fold a donation drop-off or dump run into the move as an add-on — a flat fee to haul away the exact piece we're replacing, or our hourly rate plus dump fees for a fuller clear-out. Items in good shape go to the charity or donation center you choose, and we'll grab a donation receipt while we're there.

State Street works late. So do we.

Orem's commercial spine runs the length of State Street, and businesses don't get to pause while they relocate. Our commercial crews move offices, storefronts, and heavy equipment after hours and on weekends, so the doors close Friday at one address and open Monday at the next. Around UVU, the calendar drives a different rhythm — apartments and rentals turning over in tight windows, where a small, fast, well-planned move beats a big slow one. The Value tier keeps those jobs lean, and labor-only crews will load or unload a rental truck if you're keeping the drive.

Quoting an Orem move honestly.

Here's the whole process: tell us about your move on the quote form, we'll send a ballpark estimate, and a walkthrough turns it into one guaranteed flat price — no hourly billing, no separate truck charge, with anything travel-related spelled out in writing before you book. A 25% deposit locks your date and stays fully refundable up to 48 hours out. The day before, we call around 3:00 PM with a two-hour arrival window; the crew rings about twenty minutes before arriving.

Depending on the season, we can often field a crew same-day or next-day. And when a move runs past city limits — to Provo next door, or anywhere across our service area — the same crew, the same flat-rate quoting, and the same standard of care ride along.

Orem moving questions.

Are split-level homes harder to move out of?+
They're stair-heavy — half-flights at the entry, landings with tight pivots, and bedroom furniture that has to come down in stages. Harder for an unprepared crew, routine for ours. The walkthrough catches all of it ahead of time, your flat-rate quote prices it honestly, and for specialty pieces like pianos we publish per-step rates so nothing about stairs is a surprise.
My parents are downsizing after decades in their Orem house — can you handle the extra stuff?+
This is one of the most common moves we do in Orem. The Premium tier includes pro-packing of the entire home, and our tote system means the packed totes stay at the new place for seven full days so nobody has to unpack in a panic. For everything that isn't making the trip, donation drop-offs and dump runs can be added on to the move — and if your items go to a recognized charity, we'll grab a donation receipt for you.
Can you get a piano up from an Orem basement?+
Yes — we've been moving pianos since 2014, basements included. Tight turns, landings, and varied step counts mean basement jobs get quoted case-by-case so the right equipment and crew size show up. Base rates are flat by piano size, with per-step pricing published on our piano page.
Do you move offices and shops in Orem?+
We do — desks, filing cabinets, retail fixtures, and heavy commercial equipment, scheduled after hours or on weekends so your downtime stays minimal. If your business is moving along State Street or anywhere else in Orem, we'll plan the move around your operating hours, not ours.
