The historic neighborhoods around downtown and the university — Joaquin, Maeser, and the streets between them — are full of homes that predate the moving truck entirely. They come with narrow staircases, doorways cut to older proportions, plaster walls that mark at a touch, and original hardwood that deserves to outlive everyone in the room. Moving a household through all that takes patience and padding, not speed. On our Mid tier, fragile pieces are wrapped inside the house before they travel and floor protection goes down along the hardwood paths; Premium wraps and protects everything, top to bottom, with full disassembly and reassembly. The walkthrough maps the route piece by piece — which doorway each dresser uses, where the stairs pinch, what gets wrapped before it moves — so the crew arrives executing a plan instead of improvising one. Across more than a thousand moves we've kept 99% of them damage-free, and careful work in houses like these is a big part of how.

April and August: the great Provo reshuffle.

Twice a year, Provo rearranges itself. Leases roll over in late April and late August with BYU's calendar setting the tempo, and for a couple of weeks the whole east side seems to be carrying a couch somewhere. Two pieces of advice from the crews who work it: book as early as you can, because those windows fill fast — a 25% deposit holds your date and stays fully refundable up to 48 hours out — and right-size the service. The Value tier keeps a small move lean: load, transport, unload, essentials wrapped in the truck. If you've rented your own truck, our labor-only crews will load or unload it with proper strapping, bringing the straps, dollies, and basic tools themselves. Outside the crunch weeks, we can often field a crew same-day or next-day, depending on the season.

The Riverbottoms, Center Street, and everything between.

At the other end of the spectrum sit the Riverbottoms — larger homes, longer carry paths, and furniture that earns the Premium tier: full in-home wrapping, full floor protection, disassembly and reassembly, and pro-packing into heavy-duty, water-resistant totes that stay with you for seven days after the move. Appliance deliveries up this way often involve the professional-grade and custom-paneled units that standard crews refuse; ours don't. New furniture follows the same standard — collected from the showroom, warehouse, or a private seller, carried in, assembled, placed, and the packaging gone before you've decided where the lamp goes.

Downtown, Center Street keeps its own hours, so our commercial moves run after hours and on weekends — offices, shops, and restaurants, along with the industrial fridges and heavy commercial cooking equipment behind them, scheduled so the business barely notices it happened. We recently moved an entire cookie shop, so we mean it when we say bring us the heavy stuff.

Pianos come with the territory.

Provo houses hold pianos the way other cities hold lawnmowers, and we've been moving them since 2014. Base rates are flat by piano size — upright or grand, with organs and digital keyboards on their own flat rates — and stairs are priced at $10 per step for grands and tall uprights, $5 for short uprights. Basement routes get quoted case-by-case so the right gear arrives the first time. If the new home isn't ready, climate-controlled piano storage is available; and once the instrument lands, let it acclimate for a couple of weeks before booking a tuning.
